UPDATE: Ancelotti speaks on tax fraud allegations

Carlo Ancelotti has refuted the claims that he is owing the Spanish Treasury any taxes.

He said this in a post match press conference of the Real Madrid vs RB Leipzig UEFA Champions League Round of 16 clash, a match Madrid drew, but it was enough to get them into the quarterfinal of the competition.

Ancelotti’s argument is that the tax allegations are old news, and that the matter has long since been resolved.

Ancelotti also said that the Spanish authorities were under the impression that he lived in Spain in the specified period, but they were wrong.

Ancelotti said “These allegations are old story. I’m innocent”

Recall that Ancelotti had been accused of tax evasion by Spanish authorities, who said that the Los Blancos manager owes the Spanish Treasury over €1,000,000 euros in taxes.

Ancelotti doesn’t seem to be bothered by the allegations, as his demeanor has remained the usual calm in all his public appearances and press conferences.
