Niger State can feed Nigeria, Africa - Peter Obi

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) and former vice presidency candidate of the People Democratic Party (PDP), has revealed that if things are done right, Niger State has enough land area to feed Nigeria, and even Africa, Vanguard reports.

In receiving the award, he thanked the organizers for the event and the award, reiterating his desire to see a working Nigeria, regardless of who was President.

“For me, this award, I am grateful to the almighty God. If I have the opportunity, I will give my all to the country.

“I am not desperate to be president, I am desperate to make Nigeria work,” he said.

The businessman also added that the youths should continue to engage themselves in productive activities, as that’s the only way poverty and Crime can be eradicated.

Obi emphasized the need to have the right leadership in place, stating that this was crucial to moving the country in the right direction.

Obi was governor of Anambra State for two terms from 2007 to 2014.
