Trump’s DCoS offers illegal immigrants two choices: exit with bonus or face severe penalties

On Monday, Stephen Miller, President Donald Trump’s Deputy Chief of Staff, made a bold statement on his verified X handle regarding illegal immigrants in the United States. He outlined what he described as two choices for those in the country unlawfully.
Miller suggested that illegal immigrants who voluntarily leave the U.S. would be offered a “free flight” and an exit bonus from the Trump administration. However, he warned that those who refuse to leave would face severe consequences, including daily fines of $100,000, prosecution, imprisonment, and asset forfeiture.
His post read:
“The choice facing illegals: Leave now and get free flight + exit bonus. Refuse to leave and face a fine of 1K daily, prosecution and imprisonment, forfeiture of all assets, garnishment of all wages, confiscation of all property, deportation whenever and wherever we choose.”
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) had previously announced plans on Monday to pay for the commercial flights of illegal immigrants who voluntarily leave the U.S., along with an additional $1,000 once their departure is confirmed.
