Thomas Tuchel in discussions for England managerial position
Former Chelsea and PSG manager Thomas Tuchel is interested in becoming the next head coach of the England national team.
Since his dismissal from Stamford Bridge, Tuchel has been out of work, but he is reportedly open to the opportunity.
According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Football Association (FA) has identified Tuchel as a leading candidate for the role, surpassing Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola in their considerations.
Romano tweeted on Tuesday, “Thomas Tuchel has opened to the possibility of becoming new England head coach already in July.
Talks are now ongoing with Tuchel, who’s a strong candidate to replace Lee Carsley. He’s the clear favorite, as Man City are confident in keeping FA’s dream target, Pep Guardiola.”
