TG Omori promises fans he’ll be back in 2025 after kidney transplant

On Monday, September 23, popular music video director ThankGod Jesam, better known as TG Omori, told his fans he plans to return to directing music videos in 2025.

Earlier, on August 27, he shared a heartfelt message on X (formerly Twitter), revealing that his recent kidney transplant didn’t go as planned. He asked for prayers, saying, “Yesterday, my only brother gave me one of his kidneys so I could live again. One year after my kidney crashed, I just had a failed transplant at St. Nicolas Lagos. Pray for me. Went into this theater 3 times; I wasn’t just destined to die today.”

Just two days later, TG Omori updated everyone, saying he was feeling better and excited to get back to work. He expressed his gratitude, writing, “Up and grateful, O Lord. (Sadly, I can’t backflip). Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes. I’m healing now from the stitches of the failed one.

“I’ll continue the fight; I’ve been on it for the past year or two, and I can’t back down now. Love y’all so much. Can’t wait to make new crowded music videos for y’all.”

In his recent tweets, he emphasized staying positive, saying, “It’s mind over matter. If the mind is defeated, it’s just a matter of time before the body falls. Pain has no power over me.” He reassured his fans, “Hope this designer covers these scars. I’ll be back in 2025. Stay in love!”

At just 29 years old, TG Omori has worked with many famous artists, including Wizkid, Burna Boy, Olamide, and Kizz Daniel.

He has received several awards, such as Best Music Video Director of the Year at the City People Entertainment Awards in 2019, AFRIMMA Best Music Video Director of the Year in 2020, and The Headies Best Music Video Director of the Year in 2022.
