Fans can grab seats ahead of Saturday’s World Cup qualifier in Uyo
Football fans heading to Uyo for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier between Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Rwanda’s Amavubi will pay ₦1,000 for regular seats and ₦3,000 for VIP access.
The match takes place on Saturday at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, and tickets will be available from Friday morning at designated spots across Uyo.
NFF issues warning on fake tickets
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is cracking down hard on ticket fraud this time.
“All tickets will be scanned at the gates,” said Alizor Chuks, NFF’s Director of Marketing and Sponsorship.
“Anyone caught with a fake ticket will be arrested and prosecuted.”
Fans are advised to buy only from accredited sellers to avoid trouble and guarantee stadium entry.
Rwanda’s team already in town
The Amavubi of Rwanda landed at Victor Attah International Airport on Tuesday evening and are settling in at the Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort.
Their delegation is led by Fabrice Shema Agoga, the newly elected president of Rwanda’s football federation (FERWAFA).
They’re expected to train on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the Nest of Champions’ practice pitch, as they prepare for a tough showdown with Nigeria.
