Arsenal has announced that their latest signing, Riccardo Calafiori, will don the No. 33 shirt for the club. The Gunners confirmed Calafiori’s transfer from Bologna on Monday, July 29.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta praised the new addition, stating, “Calafiori has a big personality and character, with specific skills which will make us stronger as we push to win major trophies. His progression and development in the past year have been really impressive.”
The 22-year-old Italy defender, who shone at Euro 2024, joins Arsenal for a transfer fee of €50 million (£42.1 million). Calafiori is versatile, capable of playing both as a central defender and on the left.
