Real Madrid faces significant injury setback
Real Madrid has encountered a substantial injury setback ahead of their LaLiga match against Celta Vigo scheduled for October 19.
In a statement released on Tuesday, October 8, the club confirmed that defender Eder Militão has sustained a muscle injury in the quadriceps of his left leg.
Militão’s condition will be closely monitored by the club’s medical staff during the ongoing international break. This injury follows Real Madrid’s recent 2-0 victory over Villarreal last weekend.
“Following tests carried out on our player Eder Militão by Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a muscle injury in the quadriceps of his left leg. His progress will be monitored,” the club’s statement noted.
The Brazilian international is expected to be sidelined for approximately ten days, with hopes of returning to action later this month for Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
