Portable urges Bobrisky to seek forgiveness and rethink his choices

Controversial Nigerian musician Portable has reached out to fellow celebrity Bobrisky, advising him to seek forgiveness and reconsider his lifestyle amid serious allegations against him.

Portable’s comments came after Bobrisky shared his struggles with suicidal thoughts related to a N15 million bribery scandal involving some officers from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The situation escalated when social media critic VeryDarkMan leaked an audio recording of Bobrisky recounting his experiences during a recent four-month jail term. In the audio, Bobrisky claimed that singer Falz had contacted him about seeking a presidential pardon through his father, Femi Falana.

This revelation has triggered public outrage and calls for an investigation into potential corruption within the EFCC and the Nigerian Correctional Service.

In a candid social media post on Thursday, Bobrisky revealed his mental health struggles, expressing thoughts of suicide. In response, Portable urged him to reconsider this drastic choice and instead turn to God for forgiveness.

In a video posted on Instagram, Portable said, “Bobrisky, life is risky. God doesn’t want sinners to die. Tell him to repent. If you die as a sinner, you are going to hell. Beg God to forgive you.

Help me tell Bobrisky to ask God for forgiveness. All he needs is to ask God for forgiveness of sin. What Bobrisky is facing now, if he repents, he will enjoy the world.”

It’s important to note that Bobrisky was sentenced to four months in prison on April 12, 2024, due to his involvement in the abuse of the Nigerian currency, the naira.
