The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced that its South-West Zonal Caucus Meeting will hold on Friday, July 11, 2025, at the South-West Zonal Secretariat in Ibadan, Oyo State.
This was revealed in a statement issued on Tuesday, July 8, by the PDP’s National Vice Chairman (South-West), Kamorudeen Ajisafe, who will serve as chairman of the meeting.
According to the statement, the meeting will bring together high-ranking PDP stakeholders from across the South-West region, including both current and former public officeholders who remain active members of the party.
The invitees include:

National Vice Chairman (South-West) and members of the Zonal Working Committee

Serving and former Presidents and Vice Presidents from the South-West who are PDP members

Serving and former Governors and Deputy Governors of South-West states in the party

Serving and former National Assembly members from the South-West produced by the PDP

Serving and former members of the PDP National Executive Committee from the region

State Chairmen, Deputy Chairmen, and Secretaries of the PDP across South-West states

Serving and former Speakers and Deputy Speakers of state assemblies in the zone
-
Former Ministers, Secretaries to the Government of the Federation, and Ambassadors from the region who are PDP members

Former Special Advisers and Senior Special Assistants to the President from the South-West
-
Former Chairmen of Federal Boards and Parastatals from the zone

Additionally, three physically challenged persons, previously admitted by the Caucus, are also invited
The meeting is expected to address key regional political strategies, internal party cohesion, and preparations ahead of upcoming elections, as well as broader efforts to strengthen the party’s influence in the South-West.
