Zamfara State’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Friday dismissed as “false and misleading” claims by the All Progressives Congress (APC) regarding Governor Dauda Lawal’s recent visit to the Dansadau Emirate in Maru Local Government Area.
In a statement signed by Halliru Andi, PDP Publicity Secretary, the party accused the APC of spreading fiction about the governor’s trip, describing their press release as “utterly dismaying.”
The PDP said Governor Lawal received a warm and historic welcome from the Emir of Dansadau, the Emirate Council, and local residents. The party noted that communities along the 107-kilometre Gusau-Dansadau road turned out in large numbers, causing the journey to take several hours.
The statement emphasized that the governor’s visit was well-received, countering the narrative presented by the ruling party.
