PDP names new Ekiti caretaker committee

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has appointed Chief Dare Adeleke and Olatunji Ayofe as chairman and secretary of the Ekiti State caretaker committee.

On Friday, August 30, PDP National Publicity Secretary Debo Ologunagba announced that a 20-member committee will manage the party’s activities in Ekiti State for up to 90 days (three months) or until a new Executive Committee is elected.

The statement read: “Following the end of the State Executive Committee’s term in Ekiti State, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP, on behalf of the National Executive Committee, has approved the new Ekiti State Caretaker Committee. They will oversee the chapter as outlined in Section 21(2) (a-b) of our Party’s Constitution, for a period not exceeding 90 days (three months), or until a new Executive Committee is elected.”

The new Ekiti State Caretaker Committee includes: “Hon. Ayodele Joshua, Agbetuyi Sunday Joshua, Hon. Olonila Ojo Benjamin, Mojisola Omotosho, Hon. Ojo Ayeni, Rt. Hon. Abeni Olayinka, Hon. Ademola Alade, Hon. Afolayan Akutupu, Hon. Bobby Jeje, Rt. Hon. Sina Animashaun, Hon. Araromi Akindele Samuel, Hon. Festus Idowu Akinbode, Hon. Ade Fajana, Barr. Ayo Oguntuase, Hon. Olanipekun Boboye, Hon. Adebayo Jackson, and Hon. Ojo Fasasi.”

Additionally, Asabo Ayodeji Victor has been appointed as the committee’s administrative secretary.

The statement concluded, “The NWC urges all leaders, key stakeholders, and dedicated members of our party in Ekiti State to stay united and work together for the party’s advancement.”
