The apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, has passed a vote of confidence on Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, describing his administration as impactful and development-driven.
The group also warned opposition figures in the state against inflammatory statements and misinformation, saying such actions could destabilise the political environment.
Ohanaeze’s Abia State Publicity Secretary, Godwin Adindu, made this known at a press conference in Umuahia on Thursday, saying opposition is necessary in a democracy but must be constructive.
He said the endorsement followed a review of governance in Abia, noting improvements in key sectors such as healthcare, education, infrastructure, and civil service reforms.
