Nigerian singer, Charles Chibueze Chukwu, popularly known as Crayon, has said he once had a strong crush on fellow artist Tiwa Savage and also claimed she introduced him to a substance he referred to as “Backy.”
Crayon, a former Mavin Records signee, made the claim during a recent interview with streamer Caterefe, where he spoke about his early experiences in the music industry.
He alleged that Savage introduced him to the substance in 2018 after asking if he smoked, to which he responded in the affirmative.
“Tiwa Savage was my crush in 2018, she gave me my first Backy. She asked me if I smoked. I said yes mama I smoke, and she handed it to me. Since then, I started smoking Backy,” he said.
Crayon described “Backy” as a mix of substances including cannabis and other components, and claimed he later became dependent on it.
