On Sunday, September 8, 2024, Kano Pillars Technical Adviser Usman Abdallah reflected on his team’s 3-0 victory over newly promoted Ikorodu City.
Abdallah acknowledged that playing home matches outside the Sani Abacha Stadium is challenging for the team.
Due to ongoing renovations at their traditional home ground, the Sai Masu Gida have been using the Muhammad Dikko Stadium as their temporary venue for the 2024-25 season.
Abdallah praised his players for their strong performance despite the circumstances. He stated, “It’s the beginning of the season, and we have some players that are not yet fully fit, but I have to commend the team for putting up such a spirited performance.”
He added, “Playing our first home match of the season away from home on a neutral ground is never easy, but the boys showed great resilience.”
