Mr. P reveals ongoing efforts to bring Osimhen to Chelsea

Nigerian singer and Chelsea FC superfan Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr. P of the defunct music group P-Square, has revealed that efforts are ongoing to bring star striker Victor Osimhen to Stamford Bridge.

In a post shared on X, Mr. P disclosed that he and former Chelsea midfielder John Mikel Obi made serious moves last summer to help secure Osimhen’s transfer to the Premier League club. According to him, the duo was involved in a three-way call with the striker until midnight on deadline day in a bid to finalize the deal.

“Dear @ChelseaFC fans, last summer, both @mikel_john_obi and I made every effort to secure the signing of @victorosimhen9 for Chelsea, including engaging in a three-way call right up until the transfer deadline,” he wrote. “I want to reassure all of you that we remain steadfast in our pursuit and will continue our efforts this summer. Fingers crossed. 🤞🏾#AgentP”

Osimhen, who was loaned to Turkish club Galatasaray after the failed transfer, has since bolstered his value. He finished the season as the top scorer in the Turkish Super Lig with 26 goals, drawing attention from other English clubs including Arsenal and Manchester United.

Chelsea are reportedly still interested in the Nigerian international as they look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the 2024/2025 season.

Mr. P, known for his vocal support of Chelsea on social media, continues to campaign for Osimhen’s move, hoping that the striker will soon don the club’s blue jersey.
