Wunmi, the widow of the late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba Promise, popularly known as Mohbad, Omowunmi has penned an emotional tribute to her husband on the first anniversary of his death.
Mohbad died on September 12, 2023 under mysterious circumstances which sparked controversies and uproar amongst his fans.
Wunmi took to her Instagram handle on Thursday to express pain and grief, recounting the times they spent together and the singer’s absence in the life of his son, Liam.
“Ilerioluwa mi, Husband of my youth, my best friend! It’s been a year today — a year since you left me and our Liam in this cold world.
“It’s been so hard. I miss you so much. Liam misses you too. I wish you were here to see him; you would have been an incredible father. I still don’t know how I’ve survived without you,” she said.
Wunmi also expressed that Mohbad’s passing caused her ‘unbearable pain’ adding that everything he worked for while he was alive is all gone.
