Man United confirm departures of Eriksen, Evans, and Lindelof as retained list is submitted

Manchester United have officially submitted their retained players list to the Premier League, confirming the departure of several senior players as the club begins preparations for the 2025/26 season.
Among the most notable exits are Christian Eriksen, Jonny Evans, and Victor Lindelof, all of whom will leave Old Trafford following the expiration of their contracts this summer.
Eriksen made his final appearance for United in style, converting a penalty during the club’s 2-0 victory over Aston Villa on the final day of the 2024/25 Premier League campaign. That match marked his 108th appearance for the club.
Also featuring in that game were Evans and Lindelof, who end their United careers with 241 and 284 appearances respectively. Both defenders played important roles across multiple seasons and were key figures in the team’s defensive unit.
Goalkeeper Tom Heaton has also been listed as a free transfer. However, he remains in talks with the club over a potential contract extension.
In addition to these senior departures, United have also confirmed the release of several academy players as part of their summer clear-out.
