Kendrick Lamar sets record with $14.8 million seattle concert, tops all-time gross for a rapper

Kendrick Lamar’s Grand National Tour stop at Lumen Field pulled in 60,941 fans and grossed $14.8 million, setting a new record for the highest-grossing concert by a rapper, according to financial news platform Wealth.

The Seattle show surpassed the previous record of $11.8 million, which Lamar himself set in April at the AT&T Arena in Texas.

The sold-out performance is part of Lamar’s ongoing tour with fellow artist SZA, continuing a streak of record-breaking achievements in 2025 for the 22-time Grammy winner.

Earlier this year, Lamar delivered a history-making halftime show at Super Bowl 59, watched by 133.5 million viewers. The performance eclipsed the long-standing viewership record set by Michael Jackson in 1993, making Lamar’s act the most-watched in Super Bowl history. The event itself featuring a face-off between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs became the most viewed game ever, with 127 million tuning in.

Lamar’s halftime performance included hits like “Humble,” “Loyalty,” and “Money Trees,” and featured a dramatic entrance narrated by actor Samuel L. Jackson. SZA joined him for their Grammy-nominated collaboration “All the Stars.” Lamar also made history as the first solo hip-hop act to headline the Super Bowl halftime show.

At the 67th Grammy Awards, Lamar won five awards for his hit single “Not Like Us,” including Song of the Year and Record of the Year. These wins brought his career Grammy total to 22 placing him just behind Jay-Z (25) and Kanye West (24) for the most Grammy wins by a rapper.
