Katsina government reduces curfew from 12 hours to 7 hours
The Katsina State Government has decided to relax the recently imposed curfew across the state.
In a statement released on Saturday, the state’s Director of Press, Abdullahi Aliyu Yar’adua, announced that the curfew, which previously restricted movement from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, will now be adjusted to a new time frame of 10:00 pm to 5:00 am.
The change follows a report from Abdullahi Garba Faskari, Secretary to the Government of the State, who indicated that Acting Governor Malam Faruk Lawal had reviewed the current security situation. Satisfied with the improvements, Lawal ordered the adjustment of the curfew, effective immediately.
The statement also noted that Malam Faruk Lawal expressed gratitude for the efforts of security personnel and the public’s cooperation during this period. He encouraged citizens to continue adhering to the law as they go about their daily activities.
