Juventus eye January transfer for Nigeria’s Osimhen

Juventus are reportedly planning a move for Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen when the transfer window reopens in January.

According to Paolo Paganini, the football chief at Rai Sports, the Old Lady has lost faith in Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic’s ability to develop into a leading forward. Vlahovic has struggled to make a significant impact since his arrival from Fiorentina in January 2022.

Osimhen is among the strikers on Juventus’ radar to enhance their attacking options. The 25-year-old recently joined Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Napoli, and his contract reportedly includes a €75 million release clause.

Furthermore, Osimhen’s relationship with Juventus sporting director Cristiano Guintoli could facilitate the potential transfer.
