Inter Milan legend calls Real Madrid the ‘perfect’ club for Viktor Gyokeres

On Friday, May 30, Inter Milan icon Wesley Sneijder weighed in on the burgeoning transfer saga surrounding Viktor Gyokeres, naming Real Madrid as the ideal destination for the in-demand striker this summer.

Gyokeres, Sporting Lisbon’s prolific forward, has captured Europe’s attention after an extraordinary season in Portugal, finishing with an impressive 51 goals in 53 appearances.

The 26-year-old Sweden international is reportedly available for a transfer fee of around £58 million, with Premier League giants Arsenal and Chelsea among the clubs closely monitoring his situation.

Yet, Sneijder believes Gyokeres should carefully consider a club that complements his style of play. Speaking to Metro via BetMGM, Sneijder said: “You have to pick a team which works for your playing style. At the moment, maybe Real [should consider signing him]. If it allows Kylian Mbappe to move back to the left then maybe it’s a perfect match.”

Sneijder’s endorsement adds an intriguing layer to the summer transfer market, highlighting Real Madrid’s potential role in shaping Gyokeres’ next career move.
