Erling Haaland was very happy to be captain of Manchester City for the first time. He wore the captain’s armband during a friendly game against Celtic in the United States.
Even though City lost 4-3, Haaland was proud and posted a message on Instagram saying, “I’m honored to be captain for the first time.”
Haaland was captain because the regular captain, Kyle Walker, is on vacation after playing for England in Euro 2024. Several other important players are also missing from the team’s tour.
Next, Manchester City will play friendly games against AC Milan, Barcelona, and Chelsea before returning to England to face Manchester United in the Community Shield.
