England: Thomas Tuchel keen on Gareth Southgate’s role
Former Bayern and Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel is interested in the England job after Gareth Southgate decided to step down as head coach on Tuesday, July 16.
Southgate made his decision two days after losing in the final of Euro 2024, losing 2-1 to Spain on Sunday, July 14, though his contract was to run till December.
However, according to The Sun, Tuchel is keen to speak with the English FA, having indicated he was open to replacing Southgate following the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Tuchel has won trophies in England, France, and Germany in his managerial career so far.
He famously lifted the UEFA Champions League with Chelsea in 2021.
