Dele Momodu says talks ongoing to resolve Davido-Sophia Momodu custody dispute

Dele Momodu, Nigerian politician and publisher of Ovation Magazine, has disclosed that discussions are ongoing with the family of singer Davido to settle the legal dispute with Sophia Momodu, his niece.

The disclosure came in response to public calls for Momodu to intervene in the ongoing child custody battle between Davido and Sophia Momodu, who is the mother of his first child.

Davido had withdrawn the custody case a week ago after Sophia’s lawyer referenced circumstances surrounding the death of his late son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, in court.

Reacting to the public appeals, Momodu, who is currently in Liberia to commiserate with former Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor over the death of her only child, said the families were working to resolve the matter privately.

“Nothing to worry about. Everything is going to be alright. We’re working behind the scenes. Please, keep everyone in your prayers,” he said.
