Dele Momodu says PDP cannot unseat Tinubu in 2027 without unity

Dele Momodu, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has warned that the party cannot defeat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections if it remains divided and fragmented.
Momodu emphasized that only a coalition of political parties could achieve this goal.
He made these remarks on Tuesday during an appearance on the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State’s monthly program.
Momodu stated, “The APC fears the PDP. They recognize it as the only opposition party capable of challenging their dominance in 2027.
“This is why APC leadership at all levels is working to keep the PDP factionalized.
“Additionally, internal challenges within the PDP persist, with some members being used to undermine its stability and progress.”
He further noted that a strong coalition is essential to remove Tinubu from office in 2027.
Momodu also suggested that a successful challenger to the current president should come from a different region of Nigeria.
