Cote d’Ivoire wins the bid to host the 2025 U-20 AFCON
Cote d’Ivoire has officially been chosen to host the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations (U-20 AFCON), replacing South Africa, the original host. The exciting news was shared by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) after their executive meeting in Marrakech, Morocco, on Tuesday, December 17, 2024.
The tournament will take place in March 2025, and many teams, including Nigeria’s Flying Eagles, will compete for the title. The top four teams at the U-20 AFCON will qualify for the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile.
This is a big moment for Cote d’Ivoire and African football, as it will showcase some of the best young talents in the continent!
