Chelsea suffers double blow as Palmer, Badiashile ruled out of Forest clash

Maresca confirms injury setbacks ahead of Saturday’s game
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed that two key players — Cole Palmer and Benoit Badiashile — will miss the club’s Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest on Saturday afternoon.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday, Maresca revealed that both players are sidelined with injuries, while several others remain doubtful.
Badiashile out until December
The Blues boss disclosed that Badiashile has suffered a muscular problem that will keep him out for several weeks.
“Benoit Badiashile will be out until December. He has suffered a muscular problem,” Maresca said.
The French defender’s absence is a major blow to Chelsea’s backline as they look to build momentum in the Premier League.
Palmer sidelined for six weeks
Maresca also confirmed that Cole Palmer, one of Chelsea’s standout performers this season, is set to be out for at least six weeks.
“Cole Palmer will be out for six more weeks. The medical staff are not magicians. We hope six weeks are enough,” the manager explained.
“For sure, Cole will be okay, and he doesn’t need surgery, absolutely.”
Caicedo and Fernández doubtful, others return
The Chelsea manager added that Moi Caicedo, Enzo Fernández, and Pedro are all doubts for the weekend’s fixture.
However, there is some positive news as Tosin Adarabioyo, Wesley Fofana, and Andrey Santos have returned to training and are in contention to feature.
Chelsea eye back-to-back wins
Chelsea head into the match full of confidence after securing a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Liverpool in their last Premier League outing. Maresca’s men will now look to secure another three points to strengthen their position on the table.
