Can the Magic of the Cup produce a Coventry City upset against Man United?

Coventry City is in the FA Cup semifinal for the first time in 37 years and for the second time ever. This time, the club faces English giant Manchester United.

Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United has been shaky this season, but that has mostly been in the league and UEFA Champions League, as the club has been relatively stable in the FA Cup this season.

Manchester United was also in the FA Cup semifinal last season, even making it to the final, but ultimately losing to Manchester United, with midfielder Ilkay Gundogan netting twice for the club’s local rivals.

Everyone knows that anything can happen in the cup, but upsets happen from time to time, and probably happen less than advertised, however, Man United is far from a settled team, and Coventry can get at them.

Key Man United players like Bruno Fernandes, Alejandro Garnacho, and Marcus Rashford would more than likely impose themselves on the game, but Coventry battered Maidstone 5-0 in the fifth round and sent Premier League club Wolves packing in the quarterfinal, so it would not be as easy a game as some fans may be expecting.

It’s an easier game than Manchester City though, who Chelsea will be facing.

Will Man United show Coventry City why they’re revered as an English giant, or can Coventry serve up an upset for the football world to feast on?
