Big Brother Naija 10/10 housemate, Koyin, has revealed that he lied about his age during the show’s premiere. Initially introduced as 21 — making viewers believe he was the youngest alongside fellow housemate Joanna — Koyin admitted to Gigi Jasmine on Friday that he is actually 25.
Why he lied
Koyin explained that the age reduction was tied to his modelling career.
“I am 25 years old and not 21 years old. I had to reduce my age because of modelling,” he said.
Gigi responded by praising him for his emotional intelligence despite the fib.
Not the only one
Koyin’s revelation comes shortly after fellow housemate Ivatar clarified that her own age claim was also untrue. While she told viewers she was 40, she later admitted she is 37, saying the earlier statement was just a joke.
