Bayer Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface in shock move to join Al Nassr

On Monday, January 27, 2025, reports surfaced that Al Nassr has initiated official negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen for the transfer of Nigerian striker Victor Boniface. This revelation comes from well-known football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who confirmed the news on his X account.
Al Nassr, a prominent club in the Saudi Pro League, is reportedly seeking to replace Anderson Talisca, who is nearing a move to Fenerbahçe in Istanbul. Romano shared the update, stating: “Understand Al Nassr have started official talks for Victor Boniface as new striker! Negotiations on with Bayer Leverkusen for the Nigerian striker to replace Talisca.”
While the club has also shown interest in Jhon Durán, who currently plays for Aston Villa, it is understood that Villa remains determined to retain the Colombian forward.
Despite having signed a contract extension with Bayer Leverkusen just last week, which saw him become one of the club’s top earners, the 24-year-old Boniface is not regarded as unsellable by the Bundesliga club. Leverkusen is reportedly demanding a fee of at least €50 million from any potential suitors.
If the deal is finalized, Boniface would join the ranks of Al Nassr, where he would team up with global football icon Cristiano Ronaldo. This potential transfer represents a major step forward in Boniface’s career, further solidifying his growing reputation on the international stage.
