Arsenal smashes Brighton in its home to regain top spot
Arsenal has returned to the top of the Premier League table following their emphatic victory against Brighton, winning the game 3-0.
Arsenal came into the game careful of Brighton, especially because the Seagulls were at home, but the game went only one way, with the Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi admitting that his team “didn’t create a big chance to score”.
Arsenal completely outplayed Brighton, taking the lead through a penalty with Bukayo Saka in the 33rd minute, then doubling it in the 62nd minute through Kai Havertz. Substitute Leandro Trossard made it 3-0 in the 86th minute with his goal from a counter attack.
The win puts Arsenal at the top of the league table until Sunday, April 14 when it faces Aston Villa, hoping to win again and remain in the No. 1 spot, though they may have lost top spot by Sunday, as Man City plays Luton Town on Saturday, April 13.
