Alisson set to return for Liverpool’s clash against Wolves – Slot

Alisson Becker is poised to make his comeback from injury as Liverpool prepares for their match against struggling Wolves, manager Arne Slot announced on Friday, September 27.

After missing the last two games, the Brazilian goalkeeper participated in training, with expectations of a full return ahead of Saturday’s fixture.

“He trained yesterday with the group, so we’re optimistic he’ll be available,” Slot said at his pre-match press conference. “Caoimhin Kelleher has done well in his absence, showcasing our strong options in goal.”

Liverpool currently sits second in the Premier League, trailing champions Manchester City by just one point after securing four wins from their first five matches. Slot acknowledged a positive start to his tenure following Jurgen Klopp’s departure but noted the disappointment of a home loss to Nottingham Forest.

“The style of play remains similar to what fans are used to, and maintaining results is crucial,” he added, reflecting on the team’s early success and the favorable fixture list.
