50 Cent mocks Diddy after mixed verdict in federal sex trafficking case

Rap mogul 50 Cent has continued his online trolling of Sean “Diddy” Combs following a mixed verdict in Diddy’s federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial, which concluded on Wednesday (July 2) in a New York federal court.
Reacting shortly after the verdict was read, 50 Cent took to Instagram with a digitally altered image of himself smiling and wrote: “Diddy beat the [RICO], that boy a bad man. He like the Gay John Gotti.”
Diddy’s high-profile eight-week trial ended with a partial victory, though Judge Arun Subramanian is yet to decide on whether the Bad Boy Records founder will be released pending further proceedings.
In a since-deleted Instagram post captured by Rolling Stone, 50 Cent also aimed at former U.S. President Donald Trump, referencing Combs’ past criticism of Trump during his presidency.
“[Diddy] said some really bad things about Trump, it’s not ok,” 50 Cent wrote. “I’m gonna reach out so he knows how I feel about this guy… Trump doesn’t take well to disrespect and doesn’t forget who chooses to go against him.”
Trump, who was convicted on 34 felony charges in May 2024, had previously said he would “look at the facts” regarding a potential pardon for Combs, though 50 Cent’s comments suggest he’s urging Trump to remember Combs’ political stance.
The case against Diddy drew national attention, involving allegations of sexual abuse, trafficking, and misuse of power all of which the music mogul denied. The verdict marks a turning point, though legal experts expect further developments in the coming weeks.
