Former Arsenal defender William Gallas has supported the club’s choice to steer clear of signing Victor Osimhen this summer.
Arsenal are eager to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new season, and Osimhen’s name has been linked with a potential move.
The Nigerian international has been in impressive form recently, finishing as the top scorer in the Turkish Süper Lig last season with 26 goals and five assists for Galatasaray.
However, Gallas expressed concerns about Osimhen’s personality potentially causing friction with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.
“Victor Osimhen is a top class striker but I could see him clashing with Mikel Arteta,” the Frenchman told Prime Casino.
Gallas’s comments add a different perspective on Arsenal’s transfer strategy as they look to build a cohesive and disciplined squad under Arteta.
