Vector says his song ‘Early Momo’ helped someone battling depression

Music’s impact goes beyond charts, says Vector Tha Viper
Nigerian rapper Vector Tha Viper recently opened up about how his hit track “Early Momo,” featuring Goodgirl LA, made a real difference in someone’s life — helping a person in a psychiatric home fight depression.
Vector shared this during an episode of The Honest Bunch podcast, highlighting the power of conscious music to connect with listeners on a deeper level.
Success isn’t just about numbers
He explained that success should be measured not only by chart rankings or streams but also by the positive impact music has on people’s mental and emotional well-being.
“I can tell when people are going through a tough time because certain records come up on streams. Like the record with Seyi Vibez, ‘Mercy.’ When it pops up, you know people have started overthinking. That is what music should really be — something that fits what people are going through,” Vector said.
A message from a psychiatric home
Vector recalled receiving a message from a psychiatric facility, where someone said his song “Early Momo” helped them through depression — a moment he calls a true success, even if it didn’t top charts.
“That’s a successful moment in somebody else’s life that I didn’t even intend to. So, success has different definitions,” he added.
