Twelve Super Eagles players complete summer transfers across Europe and beyond
Several Super Eagles players changed clubs during the 2026 summer transfer window as Nigerian internationals sought new roles across Europe and beyond.
In the Premier League, Taiwo Awoniyi left Nottingham Forest for Coventry City in a permanent deal reported at £17 million, ending a spell that began at Union Berlin. Frank Onyeka also joined Coventry, leaving Brentford on a permanent contract after an earlier loan. Femi Azeez moved on deadline day from Millwall to Brighton and Hove Albion after a strong Championship season.
Germany attracted two forwards and a midfielder. Raphael Onyedika left Club Brugge for Eintracht Frankfurt. Terem Moffi completed a permanent switch from Nice to Hamburg, reportedly for €2 million plus up to €500,000 in bonuses. Gift Orban joined Amedspor from Hoffenheim on loan after a second-half spell at Hellas Verona.
Turkey was a busy destination. Kelechi Iheanacho left Celtic for Bursaspor. Chidozie Awaziem returned to the country, moving from Nantes to Konyaspor. Yira Sor left Genk for Amedspor, where he will play alongside Orban.
