Tinubu laying foundation for Nigeria’s sustainable progress – Wike

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr Nyesom Wike, has said President Bola Tinubu is setting Nigeria on the path of positive and sustainable development.
Wike stated this on Friday in Abuja while inaugurating the construction of the Collector Road C01 in the Institution and Research District, which links the Body of Benchers complex to the Nile University and Baze University areas of the city.
The minister said President Tinubu never promised to solve all of Nigeria’s challenges at once but is focused on laying a solid foundation for lasting progress.
“When he finishes, another person will come and continue from there,” Wike said, noting that no leader can solve every problem within a single tenure.
He emphasised that what mattered most was making meaningful contributions while in office, adding that history would judge every leader by their impact.
Wike assured that his administration in the FCT would continue to deliver projects that address citizens’ needs within the limits of available resources.
He said the new road project would largely benefit the two private universities in the area—Nile University and Baze University—rather than the Body of Benchers.
“I hope these private institutions, which benefit from this road, will acknowledge what the Tinubu administration is doing. If you recognise such efforts, you become a good citizen, and that is the duty of every good citizen,” Wike added.
