Tinubu inaugurates airport terminal, projects in Maiduguri

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday inaugurated the terminal extension of the upgraded international wing of the General Muhammadu Buhari International Airport in Maiduguri, Borno State.
During the visit, the President also inaugurated newly built schools and unveiled electric buses, taxis and tricycles procured by the Borno State Government to improve transportation and expand access to education.
Tinubu further attended the Nikkah and marriage ceremony of Sadeeq Ali Modu Sheriff and his bride, Hadiza Kam Salem, rounding off his engagements in the state.
The presidential aircraft, Nigerian Air Force 5N-FGA, departed Maiduguri at about 3:25 p.m. for Bauchi State.
In Bauchi, the President is expected to pay a condolence visit to the state government and the family of the late Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, who died on November 27.
After the visit, Tinubu is scheduled to proceed to Lagos, where he will spend the end-of-year holidays.
