The high-level summit, initiated by President Tinubu in his role as Chairman of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, aims to deepen regional economic integration, with a focus on boosting trade and investment cooperation across West Africa.
In attendance are Presidents of Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Senegal, The Gambia, Benin, Togo, and Guinea-Bissau, alongside key ministers overseeing finance, trade, infrastructure, and foreign affairs from ECOWAS member states.
The summit also features participation from prominent regional economic institutions, including the West African Monetary Agency (WAMA), West African Monetary Institute (WAMI), ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID), the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA), and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat.
