On Tuesday, November 26, President Bola Tinubu put aside political differences to congratulate former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on his 78th birthday.
Atiku, who was Tinubu’s main rival in the 2023 general elections, received the warm birthday wishes from the President through Sunday Dare, his Special Adviser on Media & Communications.
In his message, Tinubu acknowledged Atiku’s long-standing role in Nigeria’s democratic journey, noting his active involvement since the return to civilian rule in 1999. The President also reminisced about their shared experiences as founding members of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Tinubu expressed recognition for Atiku’s dedication to public service and philanthropy, and prayed for continued health and happiness for him in the years ahead.
