Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, recently disclosed her admiration for the American rapper Kanye West.
During an appearance on the ‘Shopping The Sneakers’ podcast on Monday, September 2, Tems expressed her connection to Kanye West, stating, “I love Kanye [West]. I relate to him sometimes.”
In the same interview, Tems also discussed her relationship with American R&B artist Brent Faiyaz. “Brent Faiyaz is my very good friend. I have known him since 2021. He is a real one. He is always supportive. I have a couple of artists I’m close to and he’s one of them,” she commented.
Additionally, Tems has recently achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first female Nigerian artist to surpass 1 billion solo streams on Spotify. This accomplishment follows the release of her highly anticipated debut album, ‘Born In The Wild.’
