SZA vows never to pursue romance again
American singer Solána Imani Rowe, known professionally as SZA, has announced her decision to forgo any future romantic relationships, describing such connections as “a disease.”
In a statement posted on her X (formerly Twitter) account on Thursday, August 22, the R&B artist made her feelings clear: “I never wanna be romantically interested in a human being ever again in my entire life. That sh*t is a disease,” she declared.
SZA has previously been linked to rapper Travis Scott and had rumors swirling about a relationship with her colleague, Kehlani. While Kehlani later came out as a lesbian, SZA has never publicly confirmed her own sexual orientation.
In a rare disclosure, SZA mentioned in a 2020 tweet that she and rapper Drake had a brief relationship in 2009.
