Super Eagles fall eight places in latest FIFA ranking, now 44th globally
In the most recent FIFA men’s rankings released on Thursday, November 28, 2024, Nigeria’s Super Eagles saw a significant drop, falling eight places to 44th in the world. The three-time African champions were previously ranked 36th.
Alongside the global decline, the Super Eagles also dropped from fourth to fifth position in the African rankings. The West African team’s performance in November, which included a draw and a loss from their two outings, contributed to the dip.
Morocco continued to hold the top spot in Africa, followed by Senegal, Algeria, and Egypt in second, third, and fourth positions, respectively.
