Super Eagles captain says team ready to fight for win against Sudan

Looking to bounce back after Senegal defeat

Home-based Super Eagles skipper, Junior Nduka, says the squad is ready to go all out for three points when they face Sudan at the 2024 African Nations Championship.

Nigeria’s campaign started on a sour note with a 1-0 loss to defending champions Senegal, leaving them bottom of Group D with no points. Another defeat would mean an early exit from the tournament.

“Not a disaster, just a setback”

Despite the pressure, Nduka remains optimistic.

“We want to take each game as it comes, and next for us is Sudan. The previous game was a setback and not a disaster. We have a point to prove and we are ready to correct our mistakes,” he told thenff.com.

Match details

The clash against Sudan takes place at Amman Stadium, Zanzibar, on Tuesday. Kick-off is set for 6pm Nigerian time.
