Seyi Tinubu fires back, denies bribery and abduction claims by NANS president

On Friday, May 2, Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, strongly denied explosive allegations made against him by Atiku Abubakar Isah, president of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS).
In a statement posted to Instagram, Seyi described the accusations as “completely fictional,” expressing shock and saying the claims were lies designed to damage his reputation.
“All these allegations made by Atiku Isah are completely fictional,” he wrote.
“I have never met him or discussed anything with him, and I have no connection to any thugs or criminal actions.”
Isah, in a Wednesday, April 30 press conference, claimed that Seyi Tinubu and Minister Ayodele Olawande offered him a ₦100 million bribe to support the president, which he said he rejected due to what he called President Tinubu’s poor performance.
More alarmingly, Isah alleged he was abducted on April 15, stripped naked, and beaten by individuals linked to the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA). He claimed he was forced to release a statement under duress and that he was threatened with the release of a video showing his assault.
Isah also alleged:
“They told me nothing would happen if they shared the video, and even if they killed me, Seyi Tinubu would order a cover-up.
Ladoja said he would direct the Inspector General of Police to handle it, and if not, he’d go higher.”
Despite the threats, Isah said he proceeded with the NANS inauguration, determined to speak out.
The claims have caused public outcry and deepened tensions between youth groups and government figures. As of now, there has been no official response from the Minister Olawande, NTA, or law enforcement agencies.
