Ray Parlour Predicts Premier League Title Will Be a Two-Horse Race Between Arsenal and Liverpool

Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour has named only Arsenal and Liverpool as genuine contenders for this season’s Premier League title, suggesting the battle for the crown will be a showdown between these two clubs.

Despite Liverpool currently sitting top of the table with a perfect record of five wins from five games, Parlour noted that the Reds haven’t been playing at their best. Still, their results have been enough to keep them ahead.

Speaking to Hayters, Parlour expressed doubts about the ability of other traditional title challengers to compete this season:

“I would not panic yet, but the problem you have is that Liverpool have not played great this season so far, but they have won five games out of five.

I don’t think Man City can challenge for the title – I really don’t – and I don’t think Chelsea can, so I really believe it’s only Arsenal and Liverpool in the race.”

Parlour’s comments follow Arsenal’s recent 1-1 draw against Manchester City, a result that kept the Gunners firmly in contention.

With both Liverpool and Arsenal looking strong early on, fans can expect an intense title race as the season progresses.
