Pete Edochie’s family calls DSS over viral death rumours

The family of veteran actor Pete Edochie has contacted the Department of State Services (DSS) to ensure the arrest of a TikToker who spread false reports of his death.

The development follows viral claims about Edochie’s death, which the actor’s family and management quickly debunked. His first son, Leo Edochie, described the rumours as “a lie from the pit of hell” in a video shared on his Instagram page.

On Thursday evening, Leo announced on Facebook that he had contacted the DSS to pursue the TikToker, whose handle is @ONE_BOR001. He also offered a cash reward for anyone providing information that could lead to the arrest.

“This young man posted a video on TikTok that our father is dead. Anyone with information that will lead to his arrest will be handsomely rewarded in cash. I have contacted DSS and they are on his trail. DM me with the information, as soon as he is arrested, you will get your reward in cash,” Leo wrote.

The family’s move underscores the increasing concern over the spread of false information on social media and its potential consequences.
