The inauguration events began on Friday with a Jumat Service at the Akure Central Mosque, and a Church Thanksgiving Service will take place on Sunday at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Jesus House, Oke-Ijebu, in Akure, the state capital.

On Monday, the swearing-in ceremony for both Aiyedatiwa and his deputy will take place at the Ondo State Sports Complex in Akure. Following the ceremony, there will be a gala night and book presentation at the International Centre for Culture & Events (The Dome), Akure.

In addition, the governor announced the cancellation of the restriction of movement typically observed during the monthly environmental sanitation exercise. While there will be no movement restrictions on Saturday, residents are still expected to clean their environments as part of the ongoing sanitation efforts.
