NECO releases results; 61% pass English and Math

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has shared the results for the 2024 Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE). This announcement was made on Thursday, September 19, by Professor Dantani Wushishi, the Registrar and Chief Executive of NECO, during a press conference in Minna.

Professor Wushishi also mentioned that NECO has blacklisted 21 supervisors in 12 states and has de-recognized one school in Ekiti State due to mass cheating in three subjects.

A total of 1,376,423 students registered for the exam, with 1,367,736 actually taking it. Out of these, 828,284 candidates, which is about 60.55%, achieved five credits, including in English and Mathematics.

How to check NECO 2024 results

Here are some simple steps to check your NECO 2024 results online:

1. Visit the NECO website: Go to [NECO’s official site](https://www.neco.gov.ng). This is the safest place to check your results.

2. Select ‘NECO Results’: On the homepage, find and click the ‘NECO Results’ option to access the results section.

3. Enter your exam details: Fill in your exam year (2024), exam type (June/July or Nov/Dec), and your unique examination number.

4. Input your token: You can purchase your token directly from the NECO website. Enter it in the provided field.

5. Check your results: After entering all the information, click the ‘Check Results’ button. Your results should appear on the screen in just a few seconds!

– Authorized retailers: Make sure they are officially approved by NECO to avoid scams.

Keep in mind that each token allows you to check a result only once, with a maximum of five attempts. If you need to check the same result again, use the NECO E-Verify Result Verification Portal.
